TPS65910: TPS659102A ISSUE

Part Number: TPS65910

Dear all:

Occasionally  TPS659102A BUCK1 and BUCK2 have no output ,others  LDO and BUCK3 output normal, Need insertion and extraction adapter again, the output TPS659102.pdf recovery normal .

  • xiaowei,
I have passed this on to our product specialist for review. you should hear from him soon. Thank you for using E2E.
  • I believe this issue may be related to VDD3 not being terminated properly.

The TPS65910 Schematic Checklist (www.ti.com/.../swca139b.pdf) says VFB3 should be connected to GND when VDD3 is not used.

However, your schematic for VDD1 and VDD2 is also a little strange to me.

There are a lot of components in the feedback path for both of these DC-DC regulators:
    VDD1 (VDD_ARM) - RS1 and CS2 should not be necessary.
    VDD2 (VCC_DDR) - RS2, RS3, and RS4 are all unnecessary.

You should test without all of these components to see if the PMIC powers-on correctly 100% of the time (short across RS1 and RS3, remove RS2, RS4, and CS2).
