TPS40400: tps40400 WPE bit of D0h

Part Number: TPS40400

Hi,

for TPS40400 WPE bit of D0h, once set WPE bit to 1 and stored, does it mean that user can't never set WPE bit to 0 again?

  • Luo,

Our support person for TPS40400 is not available now. Let me see what I can find out in his absence.
  • Lou,

    This is how it works:

D0h is a register. If you set the WPE bit you cannot change it. However a reset or restart will clear D0h to its default value of 0000h which will clear the WPE bit. If your store the D0h register value with WPE set to non volatile memory with STORE_DEFAULT_ALL or STORE_DEFAULT_CODE D0h will store the WPE set value as the default. From that point in time in can no longer be changed as the default value is now write protected.
