UCD90SEQ64EVM-650: No USB Attach UCD90SEQ-650 ( No driver, unkown device on PC)

Hi everyone,

I bought a kit developement board UCD90SEQ-650. Before it operated good, but now when I connect usb to PC a green light ( USB atttach) isn't on. And PC notify Unkown device. Please help me fix that! Thank you so much.

Hello,
Do you mean D28 is not lit?

Do you try different PC and different USB port on your PC?

The schematics of the EVM board is at www.ti.com/.../slvu423.pdf
Do you get 3P3V_USB?

BTW, the unknow device is not related to this issue.

Yes D28 isn't lit.

3P3V_USB is Ok.

I tried on another PC but had a same problem.

Hello

From the picture, the 3V3 to UCD is fine(red LED is lit). are you able to communicate with device without the green light?
Could you take a picture of how GUI reports?

Hello

It seems that there are some issues with TUSB3210, which is the USB-TO-I2C Chip. You may need order another EVM. or you can order USB-TO-GPIO(http://www.ti.com/tool/usb-to-gpio dongle and connect the SDA/SCL/GND pin from the EVM to the dongle. In this way, you do not need TUSB3210.

Can I replace another TUSB3210 in my board? If I replace it, Do I need to load firmware for TUSB3210?

Yes, you can order TUSB3210 and replace it. you have to program the TUSB3210 so that it can communicate with Fusion GUO.

please refer the training video in my signature to understand how to program TUSB3210.

Hi Yihe,

I just replace TUSB3210 but I don't know how to program it because of nothing in TUSB3210.FUSION GUI can't detect Kit, led D28 don't lit. I just download TUSB3x10 EEPROM Burner but I don't have firmware of UCD90SEQ64EVM.

I tried it but nothing happens because TUSB3210 don't have any firmware in EEPROM.

I think everything I need is a firmware (hex file) TUSB3210 in UCD90SEQ643EVM-650.

The zip file is the firmware of TUSB3210. Was the programming successfully?
Have you contact TUSB3210 team to ask for help on this?

The zip file doesn't have firmware of TUS3210. The format of firmware must be Hex file.

I don't know about TUSB3210 team. Could you help me contact them?

Could you try the attached file? tusb3210_1.0.13_58bytes.bin

The firmware developed by our group is coupled with fusion GUI only and we are not sure whether it is compatible with the TUSB3210 download tool.

If our file does not work under the TUSB3210 tool. please make a new post on the forum and put TUSB3210 into the subject. team will contact you for question. Please ask for TUSB 1.0.5 TUSB3210 FW.
