TPS54116-Q1: Blockwise Transfer function to find the stability of device

Hi,

For TPS54116-Q1 stability TI gave some excel sheet to find the gain and phase margin. But to cross check that we need to do bode plots. For that we need openloop Transfer function of the compensation network. Few questions for TI

1. What Transfer function did you used to plot the curves in excel sheet?

2. Can we get the decoded transfer function block wise? For example, Error Amplifier Transfer function, Voltage divider TF and so on.

    Hi Soumya,

    TPS54116 is peak current mode controller. Attached is the spreadsheet to calculate gain and phase margin.

    Spreadsheet calculates the power stage gain, compensation gain and total gain. That should be enough for cross check with bode plot measurement.

    There are some equations available on datasheet section 8.2.2.11.  I don't have material to share. Sorry about it.
