Hi Bonnie,

Thank you for your question. For clarification, are you asking how to achieve 2kV or 3kV lighting surge protection? Could you please give an example of a case where surge would be injected at the output of a PD controller? Typically, I find customers having concerns regarding surge at the connector. Here's an example of how surge is handled at the PoE input and how we protect it (http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua736/slua736.pdf ). Also, we do not have an EMI testing report for this EVM.
