LMR14010A: 28-40V input ,24V 1A output solution

Hi,

My customer asked for a 28-40v input and 24V1A output solution, we first recommend LMR14010A, but customer think the RθJA is a bit high(102℃/W), based on their experience, this device is just suitable for 6-8w application. please kindly suggest a solution which can meet this scenarios。 thanks.

Hi Yue,
Please try LMR14020. It has thermal pad and better thermal performance.

Thanks. it is a good one ,but a bit over SPEC, also a bit expensive. can you help to recommend a cost-effective solution, Not limit to such integrated switch device.

What's ambient temp of customer's application? is the load current 1A for normal operation? or just peak load current?

25-40℃ . generally, the temp range of their products is -45-85℃. 1A is peak load current.

Hi,

As the temp range up to 85C, LMR14010 will be too hot at 1A, we suggest LMR14020 for this application.
