TPS54623: is there any better option similar to TPS54623 with max current=5A?

Customer thought that TPS54623 is too expensive for them. Is there any better option to it? Or other similar products? And the max output current=5A is also ok for them. I am checking TPS54521, but it seems that the efficiency of TPS54521 is a bit lower than TPS54623 .

Aki,

TPS5462X series are very popular, for good reason. The performance is good and they are very robust. If you are looking for a less expensive 5 A device, you can look at TPS54528.

TPS54528 has lower FET RDSon than TPS54521, so for the same conditions, the efficiency should be better for TPS54528. TPS54521 has adjustable switching frequency, so efficiency can improve as switching frequency lowers below that of TPS54528. It may or may not be enough to offset the TPS54528 RDSon advantage. TPA54528 will have a lower BOM cost. It is all an engineering trade off. You will have to make the decision based on your total priorities.
