TPS65000: Dropout

Hi,

We are using the TPS65000 in our design. Regarding the dropout voltage we only see in datasheet the 370 mV maximum for 250mA.

We would like to know the curve for the dropout voltage vs current and temperature. We have an Vin of 3.5V and a Vout of 3.3V in one of the LDOs with an output current of 150mA.

We would like to know that in order to know if we are within specifications.

Hello,

While there are not curves for these conditions across temperature, 370mV is the absolute worst case.

The same RDSon for these conditions would result in 3.278V. The accuracy specification across all devices and conditions is 3.5%.

Thanks for the quick response.

We still have a doubt. So the worst case would be 3.278V. As we are below the regulation zone, that is 3.3V, if our design works properly until 3.1V, can we have any problem in this case with the LDO output (for example output voltage ripple, ect,...)?
