BQ51050B: needs additional charging ICs? (Quick question)

Part Number: BQ51050B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ500212A

Hi!

I have been thinking of using bq51050B for my project and it will be charged by TYLT VU Solo Qi Wireless Phone Charging Pad (https://www.amazon.com/TYLT-Wireless-Placement-Compatible-Qi-Enabled/dp/B00QJ8D7O8)

From one of your engineers(https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/p/776530/2876149?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=VU%20Solo#2876149),

the charger is BQ500212A based, which means the receiver(bq51050B) and transmitter(BQ500212A) can communicate with each other.

My questions is whether my receiver using bq51050B needs another ICs to control the charging process or not.

As far as I know, it is not required. But, I would like to double check!

Thank you.
