LM1084: IS BEST TO PARALLEL LM1084 VS USING A PASS TRANSISTOR

I would like to know if it is possible to parallel two LM1084 to get 10A at 5V or would it better to use a pass transistor instead.

    It's possible to parallel two LDOs to get high current output with ballast resistors. You may find the following TI reference design helpful when you try to work on building a parallel LDO application. Using pass transistor is a different approach and it should work too.
