LM5107: Alternative parts

Part Number: LM5107
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27282,

Hi team,

Our customer is looking for an alternative part for LM5107MA/NOPB gate driver where either the HO and LO remain low when HI and LI are high.

From the product folder, the recommended alternative parts are LM5102LM5104 , and LM5105. Given the condition stated above, will these parts be suitable?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards.

  • Hello Carlo,

Thank you for the interest in TI half bridge drivers. The driver that implements the feature you mention, which is called cross conduction protection or input interlock, is a relatively new driver TI released. The UCC27282 is a 120V half bridge driver which has the input interlock feature you mention.

This driver still has the independent LI and HI inputs as the LM5107, but will force both HO and LO off if LI and HI are both driven high.

The datasheet can be found at this link:

  • Hi Richard,

Thank you for responding. Do we have any other alternative which is a direct replacement, pin to pin compatible with the same footprint of LM5107MA/NOPB?

  • Hello Carlo,

I looked again, and the only gate drivers with the same pinout and package as the LM5107MA/NOPB do not have the cross conduction protection feature.

If you are able to use the UCC27282 package that would be my recommended device.

Please confirm if this addresses your questions, or you can post another question on this thread.
