TPS28225: yes

Part Number: TPS28225

Dear, leader,

I have a question about TPS28225, I'm using now. when I power on 15V firstly, then power on 5V ,there are no output on Lgate, the Hgate is abnormal also, please give me help asap, thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for the interest in the TPS28225.I am an AE with the High Power Drivers group and will address your questions. Without seeing more details such as the component values or schematic of the circuit, and scope waveforms I will only be able to provide general advice.

Confirm that the VDD is above the UVLO thresholds, the signal on the EN input is high without noise spikes, and the PWM signal is as expected with fast rise and fall times 20ns rise and fall times will be adequate. The TPS28225 has features to allow tri state operation which can result in unexpected operation if the PWM input signal does not have fast rise and fall time edge, this is one of the common issues with unexpected LGATE and UGATE behavior Also confirm the amplitude of the PWM waveform is stable.

Can you confirm these conditions, if you still have concerns please provide schematic to review driver component values. Also provide scope plots of PWM, UGATE PHASE, and UGATE. SET PHSE and UGATE to the same voltage scale and ground reference.

Please confirm if this addresses your questions or you can post additional questions on this thread.
