Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24004, BQ24040
Hello,
The BQ24004/5/6 series support 2 series cells. is there an equivalent part for a 1-cell support?
Thank you,
Gaurav

Hi Bill,
The charge current should be 1A or more. input is variable and can be adjusted accordingly (from a separate power supply). This charger needs to interface with a host controller and hence it clearly needs to indicate faults such as precharge timer fault, fast charge timer fault, temperature faults etc. The BQ2400X has a very clear indication of various faults on the STAT1 and STAT2 pins and is more fault indication friendly than the BQ24040.
Is there any linear charger with adjustable output through a feedback resistor network?
Thank you,
Gaurav
Hi Gaurav
BQ2408X is family of devices with STAT1 / 2 pins and will provide more definition of the Charge State, see Table 3 of data sheet.
All of the Linear regulators are fixed outputs, 4.2V is the most common, some higher voltages are available.
Adjustable output are available in some switching converters.
