TPS54540: WEBENCH® Tools/TPS54540B

Part Number: TPS54540

Based on Webench I designed a DC/DC converter.

Input 25V. Output 12V/5A.

The prototypes showed a very high temperature on top pf TPS54540 at 4A (114ºC). Even they switched off at 5A

Then, I decided to simulate the thermal analisys and to decrease the switching frequency down to 420KHz aprox (attached the final design in schematic.jpg)

Now the top of the TPS54540 at 4A is 88ºC (Thermalgraph.jpg) and 130ºC at 5A after 30 minutes

In all cases the ambient temperature was 25ºC aprox

I wonder whether the TPS54540 can work at 88ºC for 10h/day 6days/week

I wonder whether the current design can work at 40ºC ambient temperature for 10h/day 6days/week

If not, is there any recommendation for optimysing the current design?.

Thanks
