Dear expert,

May I double confirm with you about below spec issue?

Our DRA80xM EVM use TPS65917-Q1 for power solution.

The power required for VDD_CORE/VDD_MCU is up to 4.5A, but the Buck output current is only 3.5A.

Is there any issue in this design??

Ben,

If you use TPS65917-Q1 to power DRA80x, you will likely need a dual-phase configuration, where SMPS1 and SMPS2 are combined to achieve 7A max current. However, we do not have an OTP released for TPS65917-Q1 to support DRA80x right now.

Currently, the only DRA80x solution utilizes discrete components, there is no PMIC solution at this time.
