Dear Team,
Is there anyway the customer can know the system reboot reason?
Cause by power cycle, PoE loss and so on, so SW team may collect information.

Hi Kevin,
Can you show waveform of the issue? Probably RTN-VSS and input current in one waveform. Also VC and primary switching FET VDS on another waveform. Can you let us know the condition that reboot is occuring? Thanks!
Dear Darwin,
The end customer want to implement this feature in the design.
So this is no an issue here.
How can our PD device help the customer have this feature here?

Kevin,
Thanks for clarifying, now I understand.
Is customer looking to know when PD/PSE connection rebooted? Or when the DCDC converter is rebooted? Or both?
Dear Darwin,
So far only reboot is required.
Or you have both solution we can take a look to discuss with the customer?

Kevin
Hi Kevin,
I ask if both because essentially you can look at the VC pin voltage since when it reaches its VC threshold, the DCDC starts switching. So if it's below VC threshold, then DCDC is OFF. This does mean that you will need to have some external power source to power your sensing circuit while the DCDC is rebooting because power won't be available on the DCDC if it turns off.
