WEBENCH® Tools/LM26420-Q1: WEBENCH Design can not be created with this device

Hi,

When i tried creating WEBENCH design the tool popped up with a message saying : Design can not be created with this device."

I used this part 3 months back and it was fine with WEBENCH design for this part.

Want to know if it is going to be obsolete or stop production or any support issue with WEBENCH for this part??

Can you tell me what inputs you used for Webench that caused it to fail?

Hi John,

The inputs i kept for simulation were:-

Vin: 4.5V (Min) to 5.5V (Max) as required in my application.

I tried with 3V (Min) and 5V (Max) as well. But both did not work.

Vout1: 1V

Iout1: 0.5A

Vout2: 3.3V

Iout2: 2A

Hi John,

For Webench design i used below inputs:

Vin: 4.5 (Min), 5.5V (Max) as per my design requirement.

However i tried with 3V (Min) and 5V (Max) as well but it resulted fail.

Output parameters were:

Vout1: 1V

Iout1: 0.5A

Vout2: 3.3V

Iout2: 2A

Chandan,

It appears that LM26420-Q1 only opens up in the old Flash based Webench. For some reason the input voltage is being changed to 14 to 22 V and the design is not created. So far as I can tell LM26420-Q1 is not yet supported in the HTML version of Webench. The regular LM26420 does work in Webench. I suggest that you use the regular LM26420.
