TPS7A53-Q1: The output can not be 3.8V.

Part Number: TPS7A53-Q1

Dears:

Could you kindly help to check the below schematic, since we want to have 3.8V output.

However, the output is 4.4V, and the FB is 0.925V.

Then we change the value of R71 to 3.9K, and the output is also 3.8V, however, the FB is 1.052V.

Could you kindly give some advice about the case.

  • Hi Lian,

From a schematic point of view your application is fine. Generally when the output of a linear regulator is higher than the set voltage, it is due to an unintentional leakage path. These paths can be from a variety of locations including residual flux that was not properly cleaned after assembling the PCB.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
