CCS/TIDA-00036: TIDA-000364 Voltage Requirement

Part Number: TIDA-00036
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00364, TIDA-01485, TIDA-00281

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi All,

I am using inverter TIDA-00364 to use 1Kw BLDC motor. In TIDA-00364 datasheet they are mentioned for 48 - 52 volt to supply, but we are providing the 24 volt as BLDC motor work on 24 volt.

But we are not getting the proper output from inverter.

Is there anything wrong ??

  • Hi Saurabh,

Let me try and find the right person to support your question. I think I have copied the correct contact and hopefully they will reply soon.

  • Hi Saurabh,

Can you provide some more specifics. Do you see the switch node toggle, is the FET gate voltage changing with PWM output.

The gate driver requires a separate Vdd supply from the inverter DC link voltage, what voltage did you use?

Also as your application is just 1kW I would suggest you also look at below designs

TIDA-01485: 36V, 1kW, 99% efficient, 18cm2 power stage reference design for three phase BLDC motors

TIDA-00281: Automotive 48V 1kW Motor Drive Reference Design
