Dear TI Experts,

I use TPS62067 for 3.3V to 1.8V application~

And I bought 2kpcs TPS62067 last year,not from the agent.Everything is good~

And this year, I bought 1kpcs TPS62067,the output ripple is very big~

(The same PCB board) I have asked in E2E: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/801881?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=tps62067

I have applied a TPS62067 EVM board from WPI and I did the exchange experiment, and the phenomenon follows the chip~

I'd like to know if TPS62067 has different vertions? The phenomenon is too strange~~

Hello,

can you specify the value of the ripple? If you have a scope plot would be useful. On how many (new) unit did you notice this big ripple?

To summarize you have the same board with:

- old unit-> ripple is ok

-new unit-> big ripple

And you did a swap test of the IC (big ripple) from your board to EVM?

Yes，can you help check if TI has an updated version of TPS62067~

I put the tps62067 from the EVM on my board, ripple is OK

I put the tps62067 WPI applied on the EVM,ripple is not OK~

All the new unit have big ripple when the input voltage below 3.2V~

Hello,

Can you send me the marking on the top of the IC (with bigger ripple)? Did you also swap the unit (big ripple) from your board to our EVM? If yes, can you tell me how much ripple do you have? If Vin is above 3.2V, can you tell me how much ripple do you have (on the unit with big ripple and EVM's unit)?

The marking is the same ,I have not found any differences~

Why the same IC has such big differences?

Hello,
at the moment, the reason could be whatever. Most of the time the failures are due to transient above the max ratings, ESD events, bad handling or applications itself, anyway this is only speculation. Can you please tell me the marking on the top of the IC? I need to check something.
How many units show this big ripple? Can you describe your application?
