LM79: -15V output 3-terminal regulator (TO-220) which can support in minus temperature range

Hello experts,

I'm looking for 3-terminal regulator (TO-220) with fixed -15V output.

LM7915 looks good, but operating temperature range is little bit narrow. I need the device which can support in minus temperature range.

Do you have any other suggestion?

Hi Akashi-san,

Have you looked at the TPS7A33? This device covers the full -40 to 125C temperature range.

John is out on vacation but I wanted to follow up with you to let you know that unfortunately the KC package for this device was retired due to lack of interest just a few months ago, this is why you won't be able to find it on TI.com.

I understand the reason that I can't find TO-220 package device on TI.com.

I am looking for alternative device for NJM79M15 (NJRC). But LM7915 doesn't support in minus temperature range.

If you have any other suggestion, could you tell me?

Hi Akashi-san,

Would LM2990 work in your application? This is the only other -15V fixed output device that we have that is specified for a lower temperature range and is in the TO-220 package.
