1. The charging chip cannot be charged normally.

2. The heat of the machine is caused by failure of charging chip.

3. The surface of the charging chip is abnormal, and the color position is the charging chip.

Hello

The BQ2404X is protected by OVP to 30V, device will turn off charging at about 6.6V.

If the unit is overheating it could be due to voltage drop across the device and high output current.

Do you have additional information on the circuit, input voltage, operating condition?
