In server application, are there solutions to convert 12V main power supply to multiple channels of 12V?

• How many Output Channels do you require ?
• What is the Current rating of each Channel ?
• What Protection Features do you require - Inrush current limit, Overcurrent limit/Circuit Breaker, Overvoltage lockout/ clamp, reverse current blocking, short circuit protection ?

The input power level will up to 1200W.

3 output channels with 10A, 20A and 60A; OVP and OCP protection are needed.

We will have to realize this using a multi chip solution. Below are the IC's you can use for each rail,

• 10 A Rail : You can consider using an integrated efuse, TPS25982
• 20 A Rail : Hotswap+ 1 FET
• 60 A Rail : Hotswap + 3 FET's

There are many Hotswaps which can realize OVP and OCP. To start with you can have a look at TPS24720, TPS24770, LM25069. If telemetry is required, LM25066 is the best part.

For FET, we recommend using CSD16415
