TLV758P: PSRR for specific VIN/VOUT/IOUT

Part Number: TLV758P

Hi LDO team!

I am looking for an understanding of the PSRR graph for 3.3Vin, 1.8Vout, at 300mA with 2.2uF cout. The datasheet does a great job of showing a wide variety of PSRR plots. Do we have a tool or method to determine the PSRR for the above conditions?

From figure 28 in the datasheet, I see that for a similar load with a 1.0V dropout, I can expect to always be >38dB (until a few MHz). Is there a way to estimate for a 50% higher dropout what the PSRR will look like?

Thanks!!

Reed

  • Hi Reed,

Thank you, we have been striving to provide more data and details to make it easier to understand PSRR performance over different use cases. That being said, we do not have a tool that can predict performance for a given set of conditions. Figure 29 is the best means to predict PSRR for the conditions above:

Adding an additional 500mA will have a small improvement in PSRR but to quantify the effects we would have to measure under these specific conditions.

Is this for a specific application or just general knowledge?

Let me know if this answers your question.

    Regards,

  • Hi John,

Thanks for the detailed response! This helps since the customer requirement was >20dB up to 1MHz.

Yes this is for a Intel VR13 processor power rail that needs ~300mA at full load.

    Best,

    Reed
