Dir,

I have a question about slow start time of LMZ30603 (power modeule ).

Is it possible to set slow start time less than 1.1msec?

I'd like to know that the LMZ30603 can be set a slow start time with STSEL=OPEN and SS/TR=External Css.

    Hi Shigeno,

    Yes, it is possible to adjust the slow start (SS) time less than the fixed 1.1 msec. However, care must be taken when making the SS time too short. At start-up, the device must charge the output capacitors as well as deliver load current, which could lead to device over current is SS time is too short.

    Internal to the device, a 3.3 nF capacitor is connected between SS pin and STSEL pin. Leaving the STSEL pin OPEN and connecting a smaller value SS capacitor to the SS pin, will reduce the SS time.
