LMZ35003: LMZ35003 Temp Profile

To Whom It May Concern,

Please let me know about the latest temperature profile of LMZ35003.

According to the datasheet link, the following file is the temperature profile.

In this temperature profile, the maximum temperature is 240 ° C, but in the data sheet it is 250 ° C.

I think the temperature profile is wrong.

    Hi TAKE-san,

    First off the LMZ35003 is a QFN package while the LMZ13608 is a leaded(NDY package. There solder reflow profile will be different.

    The LMZ35003 initially had a peak reflow case temperature of 240C with only one reflow. Any date code after the 1814 date code will have an increase in peak reflow temperature for improved manufacturability with 250C peak reflow for a maximum of 3 allowed reflows. This can be seen in the PCN details available on Digikey where you will see the LMZ35003 listed in the device family that has a datasheet revision. Additionally this is mentioned in the datasheet superscript (4).

    The sample reflow profile you see in the LMZ13608 datasheet is still valid for LMZ1XXX and LMZ2XXX NDW/NDY packaged power module family based off the SNAA214 app note that details the reflow information. Unless otherwise specified, the sample reflow profile should still be valid for LMZ1X and LMZ2X family.

    As for the specific reflow profile of the LMZ35003, let me talk to a SMT assembly expert and get back to you when I get more information/documentation for the LMZ35003 reflow guidelines.

    I was able to find a generic reflow profile documentation. Please see the app note linked. In this case the peak reflow temperature Tp would be 250C based on the LMZ35003 datasheet specs.
