TPS23880EVM-008: TPS23880EVM-008

Part Number: TPS23880EVM-008
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, TPS23880

Hi, I was able to successfully install and run the GUI for this product, until a couple of hours ago it just stopped responding. I've tried disconnecting it, replacing the cable, uninstall it and re-install it, it's Not loading the SRAM as it used to do, and the GUI tells me the device is not connected, although the USB2ANY does respond. I've attached a screenshot of the GUI, hopefully that helps.

Thank you, Yuval.

  • Hi,

Thank you for your question. The PoE team is currently out of the office celebrating the U.S. holiday of Labor Day. Please expect a response on Tuesday, 9/3.

Thank you for your interest in Texas Instruments PoE devices.

    Best Regards,

    Brett Colteaux

  •  Hi Yuval,

When you say the GUI stopped responding, did the PD lose power power or just the PSE is disconnected through the GUI? Did you try to power cycle the board? If the PSE device is not power cycled, the GUI shouldn't re-load the SRAM code. The SRAM is only needed to be reload after power cycling. Please try to close and re-open the GUI and power cycling the board and see if you can recover the system. Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Penny

  • I meant that the PSE is disconnected from the GUI. The circuit is connected to a power source as required if that's what you meant, and I turned on and off several times.

  • I should also add that I've already tried the following:

    - Re-downloading the GUI from your website
    - Switching computers
    - Switching mini USB and I2C cables
    - Switching USB2ANY adaptor

    tnx

  • Hi Yuval,

Do you mean you tried out powering cycling the board and you still can't talk to TPS23880 through GUI? Can you check if the I2C address on the daughter card matches the I2C in the GUI? Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Penny
