Dear Team,

Can you please advise regarding the following customer question

I need 2 devices like this, with connected outputs (please see the picture below)

 Two voltages sources are always on. I am going to switch TPS2041B one by one in order to supply on load two voltage options 3.3V or 5V. When one is “ON” the second is “OFF”.

My question is:

When the 5V switch is “ENABLED” (5V switched to load). Can  the current from common output go through the second TPS2041B to 3.3V source (TPS2041B of 3.3V is “Disabled”)?

    Hi,

    1. As TPS2041B/51B disabled, reverse current will not flow from output to input. The internal switch is back to back MOS.

    2.  But TPS2041B/51B don't have the output discharge function. You need to make sure the output cap is discharged by load as turn on the other switch.
