WHETHER BQ2060A CAN BE USED IN A STAND-ALONE SYSTEMS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ2005, BQ2060A

Indeed, it is a gas-gauge.

Cells: NiH

24V packs, 8aH

There will be 4 in ths system.

I am using 2 dual charger BQ2005

Question : are these stand-alone chips i.e. not requiring any program based controller to make them work? I understand that for programming the EEPROM, we will be using the evalkit which has PC based GUI to do so.

The system will have no outside controller. It is stand-alone battery pack+ charger+gas-gauge.

Can someone come up with an answer?

Thnx.
