TPS2557-Q1: About current limit hysteresis and recovery time from protection

Part Number: TPS2557-Q1

Hi,

Could you tell me about current limit function?

1.
I want to know the threshold when returning from current limit protection.
And Does the current limit threshold have a hysteresis when returning current limit protection?
If over current protection has a hysteresis,
I want to know the Max, Typ, and Min values.

2.
After detecting IOS and going to SW off state,
Please tell me how long it takes for the TPS2557-Q1 to recover after falling below IOS.

Best Regards,
Yusuke

  • Hi,

    1.  For hysteresis value, please refer to page13 of datasheet.

    2. As reach current limit, voltage drop on switch will be big and thermal dissipation will be big which lead to thermal cycle. After cool about 20 degree, Will restart the switch. We also don’t know the exact time of recovery because it’s related to ambient temperature. Also refer to page 10 of datasheet.

For TI’s policy, will click resolved button first. If any, contact me any time. Or send me email a0224015@ti.com.

    Thanks.
