TPS7A47-Q1: Time from EN to start of VOUT rising

Hello,

Mu customer uses TPS7A4701-Q1 from Vin=6V to Vout=4.5V and checked the output timing. Would you please give me your comments?

1. They checked the output and found it took around 3ms from EN=1 to start Vout rising. They'd like to know the min/max of that for -40C to 125C. Would you please give me your comments?

Sorry. I dug into the archive and found nothing on this EN to Vout timing test. Is this critical for the application?

Thank you for checking the test results. Yes, my customer needs the information for SW development. Actually, the measurement result from my customer was around 3ms, but they'd like to know min/max.

I understand there is no spec for that. It doesn't have to be exact and you don't have to guarantee that, but would it be possible for you to provide rough number?

Hi Yoshikazu,

Please see attached zip file with En-to-Vout timings over temperature scope shots. Each filename describes the test condition. This is using the TPS7A47xxEVM-094 Evaluation Module. (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slvu741a/slvu741a.pdf

In summary:

En-to-Vout timing @20C: about to 3mS

En-to-Vout timing @125C: about 2mS

En-to-Vout timing @-40C: about 1ms

This is based only on one unit so the numbers I'd probably give are min= 0.5mS and max= 5mS.
