Customer found TPS78001 pins turned dark in production, they worried about the IC quality and what would be the main reason to cause that?Tin stove temperature?

    Hi Mike,

    Can you gather some information on the operating environment of the TPS78001?  Some items to look into:

    1. Operating temperature (maximum ambient)
    2. Input voltage applied
    3. Output voltage
    4. Typical and maximum output load (current)
    5. Package of the device
    6. How long has the component been operating before it was noticed that the pins were dark?
    7a. Has there been any coating applied to the circuit card assembly (CCA)?
    7b. Are we sure that the pins are dark, and not a coating or some type of film on top of the pins?
