Hi,

I have a question for current limit of TPS2553D.

If user set 500mA as current limit and system require over 500mA, will the device output 500mA? or it turn off internal FET due to over current protection?

    Hi,

    The device will limit the current to Ios and Output voltage drop accordingly.

    If the overcurrent condition present long enough, the internal FET will thermal cycle(page14).
