Hello,

I am looking to calculate the power loss inside this controller. What is the best way to go about doing that?

Michael,

The easiest way would be to use Webench. The only parameter published for the internal FETs are the RDSon, so it would be difficult to estimate the switching losses by hand.

Hi John,

Does Webench give anything other than efficiency? My customer is particularly concerned with the power loss in the device as he works on his thermal calculations.

Michael,

Yes, Webench will give power dissipation for Cin, Cout, Lout and the IC
