Hi,

What is TPS65142 dimming resolution? i didn't find resolution in the datasheet, how to calculate it? For example, if the dimming PWM frequency is 200Hz and 25kHz, what is the corresponding dimming resolution?

Hi Mason,

TPS65142 can achieve dimming ratio of up to 1000:1, 10 bit dimming resolution at 100Hz input PWM frequency. As the input PWM frequency increase, dimming, ratio will decrease. Section 7.3.12 in the datasheet describes what typical dimming ratios are achievable at a some of the given input PWM frequency.
