LP87524P-Q1: LP87524P-Q1 for the cascade radar

Part Number: LP87524P-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243

Hello,

I will design the cascade radar using 4 AWR1243P chips and 2 LP87524PRNFTQ1 chips with reference to your schematic.

My understanding is that LP87524PRNFTQ1 has pre-configured OTP and power is turned on in the correct order and voltage for the cascade radar without I2C controlling at all.

It is correct?

Thanks,

Hirosada

  • Hirosada-san,

I do not know what the -P in AWR1243P stands for, but according to the LP87524P-Q1 technical reference manual (TRM), the bucks are pre-configured in the OTP as follows:

    • BUCK0_VSET = 1.0V
    • BUCK1_VSET = 1.2V
    • BUCK2_VSET = 1.0V
    • BUCK3_VSET = 1.8V

According to Table 1 on page 4, along with all of the other pre-programmed OTP values that are set by TI during factory programming. Figure 3 on page 3 of the TRM shows the LP87524P-Q1 connected to 2x AWR1243 devices. Table 14 shows all of the pre-programmed OTP configurations for the LP87524P-Q1 device.

It is a best-practice for the customer to independently verify these settings match the requirements of the AWR1243P.

In addition, I have assigned this question to the expert on the LP87524P-Q1 device who may be able to give a more definitive answer.
