BQ79606EVM-897: BQ79606EVM-897

Part Number: BQ79606EVM-897

Hello.

I had some questions while was experimenting with BQ79606EVM-897

In the SLEEP mode, the current is specified in the data sheet as 150uA. But when I actually measured (Active --> Go To Sleep command), it was measured at 3.7 mA.

1) What circuits (Comparator, ADC, Communication ...) are enabled so there is a difference of more than 3 mA?

2) What should be done to measure 150uA?

3) If I had to disable the circuit, what circuit would it be?

Thank you.

  • Hi Seongmin,

How and where did you measure the current? I think the majority of the current you are seeing is what is consumed by the on board resistor ladder. So you would need to either subtract this from your calculation (whatever your supply voltage over 6x 1kohm resistors) or switch off the resistor ladder entirely.

    Regards,
