TPS7A16A-Q1: RC circuit needed on Enable pin so that ESD cell is not activated or damaged

Part Number: TPS7A16A-Q1

Hi Team,

When using the TPS7A1601A-Q1, should an RC filter be implemented between the driving source and the EN pin?

Some regulators require an RC circuit at the EN pin to slow down the voltage driving the enable pin because a high slew rate can activate the ESD cell on that pin and cause the regulator not to turn on. Additionally, without an RC filter at the EN pin, I have heard that the ESD structure can be damaged due to high current or false triggering may occur during surge testing.

Please let me know if this needs to be considered for this device.

Thank you!
