UCC27512: what's the internal circuit in side of pin4 out?

Part Number: UCC27512

Hi

customer use multimeter diode mode to test Pin4 OUT and Pin5 GND, they find when positive probe with Pin4 and negative probe with Pin 5, the voltage drop is 1.3V;when positive probe with Pin5 and negative probe with Pin4, the voltage drop is 0.5V.

customer want to know what's internal circuit result in this result?

thanks.

  • Hi, Max,

Long time, no talk!!! How are you?

That's a little tricky... If the device is powered off, we can't know exactly what state those pins will be in. The mosfet in the output stage in the drawing you attached may have some charge on it, which may allow it to be turned on. There is also a body diode which is not shown in the diagram, so when they measure 0.5V, they are measuring that body diode.

  • Hi Don,

    thanks.
