BQ25703A: Where is ICO ( Input Current Optimizer ) description BQ25703A data sheet ??

Hi 

Our customer has question for ICO function BQ25703A .

But I cold not find  ICO description  at data sheet.

Could you tell us ICO function with BQ25703A ??

    Hi March:    

         ICO algorithm is used to set the input current limit such that it extracts the maximum power from the input source without overloading it. The input current limit on bq2570x can be set through external ILIM_HIZ resistor or the IIN_HOST register to match the adapter’s current rating. When the adapter is connected using highly resistive cables, the ICO algorithm finds the optimal input current limit to prevent the adapter from overloading.

          Below  is a scope capture of the ICO operation on bq25700EVM board with VBAT>VMINSYS. The input current limit starts at 500mA and then incrementing in 50mA step until the VINDPM threshold is reached. Then the IC decreases the input current limit in 200mA step to make sure the device exit VINDPM mode.
