TPS54540B: Question about integrated low side MOSFET

Genius 4190 points
Part Number: TPS54540B

Hi,

I'd like to know about the protection function of integrated low side MOSFET.

I found the description on D/S as follows,

"To reduce the losses of the small low-side MOSFET at high output voltages, it is disabled at 24-V output and re-enabled when the output reaches 21.5 V"

But how about the condition below?

Vin=5V , Vout=3.3V , no or very low load , with excessive amount of  capacitance on output line

If we turn on TPS54540B with output pre-biased condition, and with excessive amount of  capacitance on output line,

Is there any possibility that the integrated low side MOSFET sink  very high current?

or is there any protection function to prevent sinking excessive amount of current?

Sincerely,

Go
