One of my customers is designing their own PCB to evaluate TPS562208 for their new products.
They have the following questions about output capacitor ESR. Could you please give me your reply?
Q1. We can see the following sentence on page 14 in TPS562208 datasheet (SLVSD91A).
"For this design two TDK C3216X5R0J226M 22-μF output capacitors are used. The typical ESR is 2 mΩ each."
We are going to use other company capacitor not TDK and we have ESR characteristics of the capacitor.
As you know, ESR is changed much by frequency. (For example, 10ohm (at 0.1Hz) ~ 3mohm (at 1MHz)
Which frequency ESR should be used for calculation of output ripple voltage?
Is it TPS562208 switching frequency (580kHz,typ)?
