TPS63036: Output accuracy

Part Number: TPS63036

HI TI Team:

I can see in the specification, that the output with PS/SYNC = GND can be +6% or -3% if IOUT < 5 mA .

If I understand ok, the accuraccy of the output would be better if IOUT > 5 mA but not worst, isn´t it? This behavior is the same with PS/SYNC = VIN?

Thanks for your time :)

  • Hi Gonzalo:

Thanks for your asking. According to list in datasheet, the FB voltage is Io>500mA is 500mv±5mv, so it's just 1%.

For another situation you mentioned."PS/SYNC = GND if IOUT < 5 mA " The converter will enter into power save mode. The switching frequency will decrease. Therefore the ripple will be larger than normal operation. Details could be check in datasheet "7.4.4 Power-Save Mode and Synchronization"
