Were three BQ76PL536A ICs programmed before being installed on the bq76PL536EVM-3 board?

Do you really want to add these circuits to your system board?
Why can you just program to registers?
You just need to program them when you do auto address and POR.
Circuit is complex and it would complex your system board.
Before placing two BQ76PL536A on each PCB, we program each BQ76PL536A using BQ76PL536PGM-1 now. For production, we would like to place BQ76PL536A (2 stack-up) on PCB then on-board programming them. We are not familiar the power sequence for on-board programming. So, when you do auto address and POR, do we still need 7V briefly to BAT1 and BAT2 pins. The ICs are interfaced with a DSP. Can the ICs programmed by DSP without 7V.
