TPS54335A: shottkey at PH terminal

Part Number: TPS54335A

Hello

My customer intend to use TPS54335A for their new design.

I had suggested customer to add shottkey diode( Vf=0.5V)  between PH pin and GND .

The purpose of that is to prevent undershoot exceed < -1V.

I had reffered following ( page15)

www.ti.com/.../ucc2817.pdf

I and customer know synchronous buck converter does not need shottkey as usual.

However customer intend to use shottkey to avoid EOS( PH pin undershoot <1V) as ' insurance ' .

We also know efficiency will be decreased in case shottkey used, but it does not matter for them,

but reliability is most important.

Do you think there are any issue if shottkey used , except efficiency and cost ?

I think its no problem except efficiency, but please advise.

Best Regards
