TPS22917: Reverse Current Blocking vs pulling ON pin low

Part Number: TPS22917
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22948,

Hi,

TPS22948 would be a great fit for our needs, but we require more current. So, the TPS22917 looks good from that perspective. There is, however, one thing that we need to cross check related to reverse current blocking scheme:

  • Datasheet of TPS22948, section 8.3.4 Reverse Current Blocking (RCB): (..) When the ON pin is pulled low, the device will constantly block reverse current.

TPS22917 has a very similar desription of Reverse current blocking, but it misses the part about pulling ON pin low for constant reverse current blocking.

Question: is this also implemented in TPS22917 or not?

If not, are there any other similar load switches that have this capability? We would like to avoid using current limited load switch plus external ideal diode.

Thanks.
