When the battery is fully charged, is there any residual current? Or is it off?
Also, can you please verify the following:
CELLS_FB=VCC
ISET1=5.23K
ISET2=10K
The sense resistor is 100mOhm
Any input is appreciated!
Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack,
From you external components below:
CELLS_FB=VCC -> VBATREG=8.4V
RISET1=5.23K - > ICHRG = KISET1* VISET1 / (RSNS * RISET1) = 1k V/A* 1V /(0.1ohm*5.23kohm) = 1.91A
With RSNS = 100mohm => VRSNS = ICHARGE*RSNS = 1.9A*100mohm = 191mV - okay since between 100mV and 200mV
RISET2=10K -> IPRECHRG = KISET2* VISET2 / (RSNS * RISET2) = 1k V/A* 0.1V /(0.1ohm*10kohm) = 0.1A
With RSNS = 100mohm => VRSNS = IPRECHARGE*RSNS = 0.1A*100mohm = 10mV - very low and will likely widen the IPRECHRG regulation accuracy than datasheet +/- 20%.
When charge is complete, the charger does not disconnect from the battery. From the spec excerpt below, ISLP into SNS, BAT and OUT pins is 5.5 uA max. If input power still attached, VCC pulls 5mA if /CE is low. This can be reduced to 315uA if /CE is pulled high.

Jeff
