UCC27512: PSPICE Model inquiry

Part Number: UCC27512

Hi Sir

I got UCC27512 pspice model on website , and add it into our ADS simulation software.

I found it can't be executae AC simulation to get the bode plot of dc-dc buck circuit.

Need I to transfer the gate dirver to a transfer function as AC simulation executed ?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello User,

Thanks for your interest in our driver.

Few questions to help me understand the issue and sanity check.

What specific software are you using? I assume PSpice but please confirm. Are you using the unencrypted version of the model?

Does any other simulation execute? i.e transient simulation? During the AC simulation, what error message (If any) is displayed?

    Regards,

    -Mamadou

  • Hi Mamadou

I use Keysight's ADS(Adavanced design system 2020) tool to simulate , not PSpice tool.

And yes, I use unencypted version.

When we apply in DC-DC buck voltage feedback close-loop circuit , the transient is okay.

but after AC simulation , I got a wrong bode plot .

And I asked ADS FAE , he tell us that need to transfer mosfet & gate dirver to an average transfer function.

So, I make sure with TI again, if we want to get the bode plot , it need to get an average transfer function ?

    Thanks.

  • Hello User,

Given the transient simulation is running correct, the ADS software is likely not generating the accurate frequency response from the circuit. You might need to determine the frequency response of the driver + MOSFET which might require you to determine the average transfer function of the [driver + MOSFET] of your circuit.

Please let us know if you have additional gate driver related issues.

    Regards,

    -Mamadou
