TPS40200EVM-001: Modify EVM to handle Constant Current according to datasheet

Hi,

I would like to modify the TPS40200EVM-001 in order for it to work quite close as described in the section "8.2.3 Wide Input Voltage Led Constant Current Driver" in the datasheet. Though I would it to work with an LED voltage of 6 - 9 V and a maximum output current of 500 mA.

Is the feasible and what could the drawbacks be by doing this?
