TPS65233-1: Activating 22Khz out in Non I2C mode

We operate the device in non I2C mode

We would like to control the 22Khz generation using the EXTM pin as described in paragraph 7.4.1 of the data sheet - option 2

When toggling EXTM in 22khz we get the 22Khz output - option 1

How we select option 2 ?

Hi, Baruch

The option2 is the envelope mode in non-I²C application (bit7 of register 0x00 is 0).

When there is DC high voltage on EXTM pin, tone signal will come out.

When tone signal is not needed, EXTM pin should be pulled DC low.

So applying square signal (frequency < 22kHz) on EXTM will select option 2.

How we can do that without I2C ? We do not have a CPU / SW on our product

If don't use I2C, you don't need to do anything, bit7 is default set to 0.
